Developmental Spring Activities for Kids!

Need ways to keep your kids busy while you work, clean, or cook? Or while they’re on break? I got YOU!

My background as a teacher keeps my creative juices flowing at all times and keeps me busy looking for ways to keep my little ones entertained and having fun while learning. So, below I am going to share several fun Spring activities that you can set up easily at home for you to try too.

To give you a little background, here are some of the things I like to focus on while setting these activities up:

  • Fine and gross motor development
  • Open-ended (so creativity is needed which helps develop problem-solving skills)
  • Textile (feeling and using different textures and materials)
  • Open for discussion (usually use the 5 senses)
  • Language and social development (describing what they are doing and why or how, and fantasy play or practicing taking turns.)

Below you will find several activities that you can incorporate into your day. They are easy enough to set up with materials you have at home. A great way for kids to be outdoors enjoying the weather and learning at the same time.

Don’t know what to do with the masses of Easter eggs left after the Easter egg hunts? Well, here are some interactive activities that we use at home with our littles. We love using these in so many different ways and to cover so many different concepts. Plus, all the activities are so easy to set up! And then, what do I do with them when they’re done “playing” with the eggs? I put them away in a bag for some time and a few months down the line take them out again and re-use. Or just save them for next year 😉

I hope you will be excited and motivated to try some of these fun themed and STEM activities. I know your kids will really love them. If you do take the plunge, please tag me @raisingroseandrae as I would love to see. And if you want to see some others in action head over to my IG and check out the “Spring Activities” highlight. I’ve saved some there too.

Happy Easter & Happy Spring!
