Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie Premiers with a Mighty Great Message

We had a special opportunity through Gofobo Screenings to experience the Advanced Screening of Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie premiering in theaters Sept. 29th, 2023. The family enjoyed a Take Home Su-Paw-Hero Souvenirs pack, a special AMC Theaters popcorn package with a souvenir cup, popcorn bucket and character mask and cuddled up to watch the entertaining movie for an hour and a half.

Synopsis:

When a meteor hits Adventure City, the Paw Patrol must work together to stop mad scientist Victoria Vance and Mayor Humdinger (yep, he’s back!) from stealing the mighty power lying within the meteor’s special crystals. Along the way, the characters realize their potential as they struggle with confidence and purpose. Though this sounds quite complex for a kid’s movie, the message relates to kids and teaches them that no challenge is too big (and no pup is too small!).

The especially great part of this movie was the main character’s story. The backstory follows Skye for most of the film (and guess who happens to be my son’s favorite-SCORE!). She struggles with always being the smallest, the “runt” of the bunch. Once she discovered her super power, she thought she was unstoppable. Until, her powers were taken away by the mad scientist. Skye begins to feel useless and too small to help the rest of the patrol. Through bravery and courage (and a little help from the special crystals), Skye saves Adventure City and feels like a true hero!

Rated PG for mild action/peril, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is similar to the other movies in the franchise, with pups fighting bad guys with their special powers. There wasn’t an overwhelming theme of violence or fighting, unless you count Skye blasting through meteors to save the world! My toddler got through the movie without being scared of the bad guys or any of the action scenes, so I believe kids of all ages will enjoy this movie.
