I am not a cook by any means! If I have any opportunity to go out and not worry about cooking I am always ready! Now with my toddler, Serena, getting older and more independent she’s so much easier to either leave with someone to watch her while we go out or have her come with me and enjoy the vibe together! There are a lot of new South Florida restaurants that you must check out! Here are three most recent ones in the Boca/Delray area that have been wonderful experiences!
1. Pizzeria Sophia
(address: 15065 FL-7 Unit 400, Delray Beach, FL 33446)
This adorable pizzeria is tucked away behind a Wawa on 441. It’s named after the beautiful Sophia Loren, an Italian actress and the inspiration for the whole restaurant! I had the pleasure of going here for a date night with my husband without Serena. Pizzeria Sophia has such a large and beautiful outdoor area with string lights and a heat lamp to really enjoy sitting outside on the cooler nights we’ve had in FL. I tried some of their signature dishes and I was very impressed! Their Tony’s Honey Ricotta Jar had such a unique flavor of both sweet and salty, it tasted wonderful. Their Greek salad was so fresh and loaded with feta just the way I like it. I can’t go without mentioning the pizza of course – their classic pizza Sophia was perfect with the right balance of cheese and tomato sauce. For dessert, we shared a yummy cheesecake that was the perfect ending to the evening. I would definitely recommend you check Pizzeria Sophia out! It’s going to be one of my frequent spots after trying it out!
2. Rosewater Rooftop
(233 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444)
This cute rooftop spot is located at the Ray hotel in Delray Beach. It was such a cute place to go for brunch and enjoy the daytime views on the roof! I went with a few girlfriends for lunch and we loved the ambience! Such a fun place. We shared their Rosewater Mezze which had a good mix of hummus, feta cheese, olives and bread. I ate their club sandwich for lunch which was solid. Don’t forget the drinks! They were nice enough to honor their bottomless mimosas deal when we went on a Thursday even though they usually only do it on the weekends. So check it out to hang out for some nice rooftop views in Delray!
3. Calveras Cantina
(409 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432)
This Mexican restaurant opened in Mizner Park not too long ago. I love the drinks here, my mojito tasted great! My husband also loved his margarita. I feel as though the food could’ve been better, I loved Uncle Julio’s when it used to be in Mizner and I feel like nothing compares to it yet. Serena definitely enjoyed her kids meal quesdailla though, so it is definitely kid/baby approved and a fun place to eat if you plan to enjoy Mizner after!
Those are some more recents places I have checked out! What’s some new restaurants that you tried and enjoyed? Let me know in the comments 🙂
