As you know, I am constantly scrolling on my For You Page and love seeing all the viral trends, especially cooking trends on TikTok! With my Oreo mug cake recipe turning out to be such as success, I decided to try the infamous viral TikTok feta pasta recipe. My husband loves pasta, (I’m personally not much of a pasta fan) BUT this recipe was something we both enjoyed! I even served it to my baby Serena for dinner, so it was a great recipe to feed the whole family!
Ingredients:
- 1 7 or 8oz Block Feta
- 1lb Pasta of your choice (I used the bowtie shaped pasta)
- 2 pints cherry or grape tomatoes
- Olive Oil
- Minced Garlic
- Basil Leaves
- Thyme
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Red Chili Flakes to taste
- Parmesan cheese flakes (optional)
Directions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees F. Take your 1lb of pasta and add water to a bowl and boil al dente. Set the pasta aside once done.
- Then get an oven safe dish (I used a lasagna Pyrex tray) and place the cherry tomatoes in the dish. Drizzle olive oil all over the tomatoes and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste (Note: I added the salt at the end of cooking because I wanted to set aside some salt free pasta for my baby, but it is recommended to add salt and pepper at this step).
- Place the block of Feta in the middle of the tray and drizzle some more olive oil. Place some crushed red chili flakes onto the feta block.
- Add about 4 table spoons of minced garlic around the tray.
- Garnish basil leaves and add three stems of thyme into the tray.
- Once the oven is preheated, place the tray into the oven and heat for about 30mins. (Cooking time could vary for different ovens but mine came out perfect in 30 minutes)
- When you take the tray out of the oven, the feta should looked cooked and the cherry tomatoes should look soft and breakable.
- Using a fork crush the tomatoes and feta and mix it all together into your bowl. Add in your pasta to the dish and stir until everything is even.
- Let the dish cool and season with some parmesan cheese and its ready to eat!
- ENJOY! It was so good!
