Yes clearly you know what I am up to in my spare time…scrolling my FYP and finding more TikTok recipes! With the success of both my feta pasta recipe and my Oreo mug cake recipe, I definitely needed to try this tortilla wrap hack. What I love most about this recipe is that this is more just a technique to use that you can put anything you want inside of it! Some people do savory recipes like how I am going to show you with my breakfast quesadillas, but some can make it more of a sweet dessert dish and add Nutella and strawberries to make crepes, etc. You decide what you put in it! The main thing is you have a tortilla with four quadrants and you fill each quadrant with four different things with it! Below is what I did for my recipe.
Ingredients:
- Tortilla
- Scrambled Eggs (I make a simple egg scramble with onions, green chilies, salsa and eggs mixed and cooked together) You could do some other protein or food for this
- Green Salsa
- Shredded Mexican Cheese
- Tater tots (baked according to bag instructions)
- Sour Cream and Hot Sauce (optional to dip your quesadilla in once made)
Directions:
- Prepare your egg and tater tots before beginning.
- Then starting with your tortilla, place it on a plate and make a small cross in the middle of the tortilla so you know your four quadrants.
- Add your four different items to each of the four quadrants. My four quadrants consisted of 1. Scrambled Eggs, 2. Mexican Cheese 3. Salsa 4. Tater Tots. (Please refer to the image below to visualize.)
- Next, fold the tortilla into triangles that stack over each other. Refer to the image below to get a better idea.
- Then take a pan and add oil and heat on high.
- Place the quesadilla on the pan and flip until it is golden brown on both sides. Place the quesadilla on a plate and let it cool…then it’s ready to enjoy!
- Add some sour cream and hot sauce to dip with if you want some more added flavors!
This is just one of the many things you can make and fill with the four quadrants. Do you have any other ideas of what to fill in the quadrants and make? Let me know in the comments! 🙂
